Move to Timmins: A Workforce and Resident Attraction Marketing Campaign brings awareness to the need for talent in the key sectors of Mining, Healthcare and Education in Timmins, ON. The purpose of the campaign is to attract people (i.e. skilled workers and their families) from outside of Timmins to “Take the Leap” and move to Timmins to live and to work in order to meet the demands of our current – and future – labour force. This project is led by the Timmins Economic Development Corporation who works collaboratively with community partners: Timmins Chamber, Far Northeast Training Board, The Venture Centre, Northern College, Downtown Timmins BIA, Glencore and Newmont. This project is funded in part by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
