The East End Family Health Team started in 2004 as Ontario’s first nurse practitioner clinic under the primary health transition fund. The team includes nurse practitioners, nursing staff, a student physician, an Ontario Telemedicine Network Nurse, secretariat staff, a social worker, and an Executive Director.
The Centre de Sante Communautaire de Timmins is a francophone, not-for-profit healthcare centre. The Centre’s professional team offers primary care and community health services, including nutritional, mental health, health education, and pharmacology services.
The Misiway Milopemahtesewin Community Health Centre offers culturally appropriate health programs and services to the region’s Indigenous people. The Centre combines traditional and Western medicine practices across its services and programs.
