Getting Settled

We get it. It can be overwhelming getting settled in a new city. That’s why Timmins has two organizations in town that are dedicated to helping newcomers to Canada begin their lives in Timmins.

The Timmins & District Multicultural Centre and Collège Boréal offer free settlement services for newcomers in both English and French. This includes information and orientation sessions, referrals to community services, and language courses. Collège Boréal also offers occupation-specific language training in healthcare and business. Reach out to their staff to learn more.
