There’s something about remoteness that has an interesting effect on the arts. Being slightly removed from mainstream trends affords artists the opportunity to search for their authentic voice.
The Timmins Museum: National Exhibition Centre features travelling exhibits, regular programming for adults and children, as well as a fully stocked gift shop.
Founded in 1979, the Timmins Symphony Orchestra performs several concerts per season. In the summer, its School of Music hosts a music camp while the organization provides music lessons throughout the year.
The Porcupine Art Club is a group of artists, both experienced and novice, who share a love of creating art while Take Two Theatre is known for producing original plays and comedy acts.
